Hello and welcome! I'm a board-certified physician who started practice as a Hospitalist in 2007. My passion for improving medical education began during my chief residency year at Tulane in New Orleans, Louisiana. Thereafter, I began developing curricula for Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Collaborative Inpatient Medicine Service at Johns Hopkins Bayview.
In 2011, I joined the faculty at the University of Kansas Medical Center where I began developing and teaching the Doctors as Educators Faculty Development Series. As that course grew, I found more and more clinicians reaching out to me asking me to come teach the course at a time that worked better for their busy clinical schedules....often early-morning or late-evening. This online course is the answer to that request!
